Product Description:
Our AA Grade 100% Polyester Filament FDY Recycled Knitting Yarn is a high-quality, eco-friendly yarn designed for superior performance in knitting applications. Made from 100% recycled polyester, this yarn offers excellent durability, softness, and color consistency while supporting sustainable textile production.

How is Recycled Polyester FDY Yarn Made?

The manufacturing process is a marvel of modern engineering and sustainability:

1. Collection & Sorting: Used PET bottles are collected and meticulously sorted by color.

2. Cleaning & Flaking: The sorted bottles are washed, sterilized, and crushed into small flakes.

3. Processing: These flakes are then melted down. Through a chemical or mechanical recycling process, they are transformed into recycled polyester chips (rPET chips).

4. Spinning & Drawing (FDY Process): The rPET chips are melted and extruded through a spinneret to form filaments. These filaments are immediately fully drawn—heated and stretched to align the polymer molecules. This crucial step gives FDY its signature strength, smoothness, and dimensional stability.

5. Winding: The finished yarn is wound onto bobbins, ready for shipping and use in various textile applications.
