    Product Description

    Recycled nylon fiber is a new type of environmentally friendly recycled fiber, which is extracted from

    waste virgin nylon fiber.

    United States, because it is a waste reuse product. Recycled fiber and yarn can reduce the use of oil,

    cords, fishing nets, fake fur, and carpets etc.


    How is it Made? (The Process)

    The production process is a sophisticated form of recycling that transforms waste into a high-quality fiber indistinguishable from virgin nylon.

    Primary Sources of Waste:

    1. Fishing Nets (Ghost Nets): A major source. These abandoned, lost, or discarded fishing nets are recovered from oceans and aquaculture. This is highly beneficial as it cleans up marine ecosystems.

    2. Fabric Scraps: Waste generated from the production of nylon textiles and garments.

    3. Industrial Plastic: Waste from plastic manufacturing.

    4. Carpet Fluff: Waste from old nylon carpets.

    5. Other Post-Consumer Waste: This can include old nylon stockings, swimwear, and other consumer products.

    The Recycling Process:

    1. Collection & Sorting: Nylon waste is collected from the various sources and meticulously sorted.

    2. Cleaning: The waste is thoroughly cleaned to remove all impurities, dirt, and salt (especially for ocean waste).

    3. Depolymerization: This is the key chemical process. The cleaned nylon waste is broken down to its base chemical building blocks (monomers). This step effectively "resets" the material to its raw form.

    4. Repolymerization: The pure monomers are then re-polymerized (re-formed into long-chain polymers), creating a new batch of nylon polymer.

    5. Processing: This new recycled polymer is melted and extruded through a spinneret to form new continuous filaments of recycled nylon yarn. This yarn can then be spun, knitted, or woven into new fabrics.
